If you are using joomla content component as a blog , sometimes it does not enough for our need. Because it does not have comment, tag, ping etc. You need to use 3rd party component or plugin for blogging with joomla regular content component. But joomla has a lot of blog component and you can pick one of them.

Lyften and Mypost are very good options. But is there any one that can provide a blog per user? It not the same that having multiple blog authors I have not found yet such solution. Anyone knows about one?

One component is left forgotten here, from one of the major Joomla Developers. It's called: DELUXE BLOG FACTORY. It's quite new, but i'm using it on my site and i'm very satisfied with it. The Factory Team was also as always very professional and supported me on their forum, even with a couple of free tweaks ;)
